Chris called me this morning at 9:40. He did not have any phone coverag all day. Yesterday, he rode 1,300 miles. He and 6 other guys have been waiting most of the night for the last check point in Fairbanks to open, but it does not look like anyone is there (so much for all check points would be open 24 hours). Anyway, he does not want to waste anymore time, they’ve geared up again and are leaving to homer. From different sites and words from friends in Homer, nobody is there to welcome the riders. Chris should be in Homer this evening.

What kind of a challenge is it to wait for someone to do their job? They should use some of the money taken in to provide support personel.
Well Garry, from most of the rumors going on for a while now, we have more and more hints on the fact that this is a big hoax, and it really sucks!
Putting that aside though, all these riders are getting the experience of a lifetime IMHO, which apparently will be their (only?) reward in the end
To me, and having heard from Chris as well, it sounds like it’s all that matters now. From what he said and what Sowatha has indicated as well, “Yesterday was one hell of a ride!”. If those guys are having fun out there, that’s all that matters to me at this point 
Yes frustration is a big part of this challenge now we’ve all realized how poorly organized it was, but I’d like to cheer those guys up for what they did. I think we got to be here to show our support, and let them know even though the “organizers” are not here to do their job (checked out of Homer as of Yesterday I believe … O_O ), we’re here to follow them, and some of us hopefully to greet them in Homer

Appears to be a snafu with Fairbanks HD. Riders are being checked in at Homer by what looks to be HH officials.
Read that everyone!!! Chris is actually unbelievable Today!!! He is now just flying over to Homer, there’s no other words to describe how implacable is his progress. He’s just passed Anchorage a few minutes ago and blew past Mark! And guess what: he is now only 45 min from Bodhi’s group!!! That guy is unbelievable! After 10 days of race covering almost 7,000 miles -> Firebolt 24 is on the HUNT!!!
He’ll be done by 9:00 PM eastern time, 6:00 PM pacific time … For a well deserved full day of sleep I guess … Not even sure if he’ll take a shower before he crashes on his bed! Hahahaha
You go get ‘em Chris! Keep the dream alive!!
Arnaud, I agree with you there are no losers among the riders! They have done so much and will talk proudly about this forever. Their grandchildren will say proudly that their grandfather or grandmother rode in the 2010 Hoka Hey Challenge. It doesn’t matter how far the rider rode, it matters that they RODE!

Cheer up everyone: one very small hour left before Chris is done! I’m almost screaming in front of my screen as I say the ridiculous 20 min separating Crhis from Bodhi’s group. Sound to be like this for a while now

Yeah Buddy!! No question its the ride of a lifetime. I truly hope that this does not turn out to be a hoax as these guys put their lives on hold for months to get organized for this. We had bikes arriving down here in Miami 3-4 weeks ahead of the start, the people we met we so diverse, each and every person had their own unique story beginning with wonderfully cool lady who was doing the Challenge with her dog Trixie, to Cowboy Mac who was an Arctic Guide and showed up with Musk Ox Beef sausage, he crashed over the weekend and is recovering after surgery.
If the organizers turn out to be con artists, all I can say is you better find your own reservation somewhere high in the mountains, and stay there because the Harley Family is not too sympathetic for pathetic souls like you.
On a positive note, I tip my hat to Chris and all who finished, and those who are yet to finish, I envy you for what y’all have accomplished. Congrats, hot showers for everyone and then a frosty!
Yeah! Congratz to Chris to finish up that amazing race! I wish I could be there to greet him! He’s gonna have tons of stories to tell us when he’ll be back home!!
