Ha! Now that’s an article I’ve been waiting to read for a long time!! I’ve always been amazed at the amount of time you spend on a saddle, and wondering how you can possibly achieve that O_O My personal “record” is about 10 hrs, and I can double the comments on the mental fatigue after spending that much time riding! :)

What’s mostly intriguing me is how you actually manage your breaks. Most of the time for me, they’re timed with my stops for gas. But again, I have never had the occasion to ride throughout the night or up to a point I have to actually stop to rest and sleep a bit. How do you manage that? What dictates the necessity to stop and sleep? You are talking about a “Zen” state of mind, and I kinda understand what it is (it’s also my trick to run for a bit longer when I do cardio :) ). Isn’t that a bit on the “unsafe” side in the sens that it will make you forget about your physical fatigue? How do you manage not to pass the state where your body willjust shut down due to fatigue? That’s where my questions are I guess :) Maybe a bit too practical hu?

Anyways, great article again, and I can’t wait to read the next of your adventures!! ;)

    Cheers! :D
